BillMo Referral Program (EN)

Program Participation and Eligibility
The Program is available only for new registrations of new BillMo accounts. New Protégé referrals cannot be an existing BillMo customer or someone who has used BillMo’s services within the last 3 years or someone who has previously been referred to BillMo by another person. Please allow up to 2 business days after referral validation for the referral reward (credit) to be applied to your account. For each new Protege that becomes a customer of BillMo, enters a valid Referral Promotion Code and conducts a qualifying transaction with BillMo, the referring Sponsor will receive a one-time referral credit of $25. Each new Protégé that enters a Referral Promotion Code and conducts a qualifying transaction with BillMo will earn a one-time referral credit of $25. At this time only individuals in the US who send money to a recipient in Mexico are eligible to be Sponsors or Proteges. Recipients in Mexico cannot be Sponsors or Proteges.
The Program is only available for active BillMo customers in good standing. To make a referral you must have an active BillMo account and otherwise eligible to be a BillMo customer, and be an individual person and 18 years of age or older (Companies and employees of BillMo or their subsidiaries, affiliates, including distributors or agents, or promotional agencies, including immediate family and household members, are not eligible to earn credit for referrals). The referral promotion reward is per referral completed and is in the form of a credit to the Sponsor’s BillMo account. These credits will be applied to the Sponsor’s sending transactions as a credit before the use of any of the Sponsor’s own funding is used. For example, if a Sponsor with $30 in referral credit wished to send $100 to a recipient, the $30 credit would be applied first and the Sponsor would have only $70 debited from their payment source (not including service fees — all fees, such as service fees, continue to apply to the transaction and all other transactions limits such as minimum and maximum size also apply).
If your account is suspended or cancelled or if you cancel your account with BillMo, you are no longer eligible to participate in the Program. Upon cancellation with BillMo, your account will be inactive and you may not make referrals or earn Program credits, including any referral credits that may be pending. You cannot redeem a referral credit for referring yourself. You may only participate in the program online using the BillMo app, not at a retail outlet. You may only participate in the Program with one account. Friends you invite (“Proteges”) must activate a new BillMo account and must conduct a qualifying transaction for you to earn the referral credit. To participate and earn credit, your Protege must enter your Sponsor promotion referral code at the time they conduct their first (qualifying) transaction. If they enter another valid Sponsor code, for any reason, you will not earn the referral credit. The Protege cannot change the referral promotion code after it has been entered and accepted.
You must disclose the fact that you are a BillMo customer when you make referrals. You agree to let your Proteges know that you are the Sponsor and that you may receive a referral reward if your Protege signs up for BillMo service. You will not receive any referral reward if your referrals are rejected or are not received for any reason, or if you fail to comply with any of the terms of the Program. At this time only individuals who send money to a recipient in Mexico are eligible to be Proteges. Recipients cannot be Proteges.
Unless otherwise noted, the Program may not be available for certain BillMo accounts. BillMo reserves the right to void any Referral credit based on the following: (1) ineligibility of any Program participant, (2) fraudulent activation or, (3) if BillMo, in its sole discretion, finds that you have violated any of the Program Terms and Conditions. BillMo reserves the right to determine eligibility in its sole discretion.
The Protege must register as a new BillMo customer and perform a qualifying transaction before BillMo will validate the new account and apply the referral promotion reward for both the Protege and the Sponsor. At this time only individuals who send money to a recipient in Mexico are eligible to be Proteges. A qualifying transaction includes: sending money to a recipient in Mexico. You cannot receive credits for referring yourself. If you are a new BillMo customer who was referred by an existing BillMo customer, you are eligible to earn $25 in referral promotional credits. These credits will be applied to your sending transactions as a credit before the use of any of your own funding is used. For example, if a Protege with $25 in referral credit wished to send $100 to a recipient, the $25 credit would be applied first and the Protege would have only $75 debited from their payment source (not including service fees — all fees, such as service fees, continue to apply to the transaction and all other transactions limits such as minimum and maximum size also apply).
Referral Promotion Codes
Each Sponsor will have a Referral Promotion Code automatically created for them by their BillMo app. This code will consist of the first initial of their first name, the first initial of their last name and the last 4 digits of their mobile number used with the BillMo app (in case of duplication, the last 5 digits). The Protege must enter this code during their first qualifying transaction for the Sponsor to receive credit. The Protege cannot change this code once it has been entered. BillMo is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entries of Referral Promotion Codes by any prospective Protégé participating in the program.
In addition to registration each Protege must perform a qualifying transaction in order for the reward to be applied. A qualifying transaction is the sending of funds to a registered recipient in Mexico (a BillMo Wallet Holder) or to a new recipient in Mexico who then registers successfully as BillMo Wallet Holder.
Referral rewards are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, credit, or other merchandise.
Reward Issuance Expiration
If further action is required for reward issuance, customers must successfully complete the additional action within 30 days from initial notification of the request for further action, otherwise the customer will forfeit the pending reward. All credits earned will expire if not used within 1 year of being earned.
Additional Terms and Conditions
Tax: You are responsible for any and all tax liabilities associated with the Program.
Void Where Prohibited: This Program is void where prohibited by law.
We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the BillMo Referral Program at any time, without notice, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to not award a credit, cancel a credit or disqualify someone from the Program if we feel, in our sole discretion, that fraudulent behavior or other unethical conduct has occurred in any way that compromises the fairness the Program in any way. Credits cannot be combined with other promotions and are not valid for previous offers or orders. Spam, unsolicited commercial email, or any form of illegal means of communication is illegal, prohibited, and will be grounds for termination of your account and participation in this Program. Fraudulent or unethical means of communication such as using bots, fictitious identities, fake emails, or scripts is also prohibited and will result in similar actions by us with respect to terminating your account and participation in the Program. BillMo reserves the right to investigate any suspicious, unprofessional or inappropriate referral registrations or transactional activity. BillMo reserves the right to delay payment of any referral credits, at its sole discretion, while it conducts an investigation of such activity. If BillMo, in its sole discretion, concludes that a particular registration or transaction was deceptive or did not qualify as an eligible registration or eligible transaction, you agree that BillMo will not be obligated to pay any referral credit for such registration or transaction. If a customer transaction upon which you have already been paid a referral credit is later charged back, cancelled, breached, repudiated or rejected by a customer or beneficiary after payment of a referral credit, an amount equal to the referral credit for such service or registration shall be deducted from the amount of referral rewards due to you.
By participating in this Program, you agree to release and hold harmless us and any other entity associated with marketing this Program (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims or damages arising out of, or in connection with the Program. You further agree that the Program and credits are provided “as is where is”. THERE ARE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO STATUTORY WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, THIRD PARTIES RIGHTS, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF PROPRIETARY RIGHTS. IN NO EVENT WILL EITHER PARTY BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS, EVEN IF ONE PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY THIRD PARTY.
